BELGIAN PREMIERE
In this dynamic family performance, a dancer and a foley artist search the questions ”who, how and what can I be?”
The audience sit along the stage, in front of each other. The body of the dancer produces its own soundtrack to a mind-blowing journey through different identities, self-images and cartoon-like characters. Big and more subtle sound effects fool our experience of the movements and make us curious.
A highly exciting encounter between a dancer with springs and a table equipped with a microphone that magically amplifies all sounds. Together they make great body music. How exactly that works is something that only adults want to know, the children lose themselves in superhero battle poses and dances from the computer game Fortnite. Away from story and meaning, this is a delicious, honest performance with a great appeal to imagination!
About the company
Since 2005 Anna Konjetzky creates dance performances and dance installations in which choreographic thinking is a practice of reflection and transformation and is imbedded in a socio-political context. An important aspect of her work – especially when working abroad – is the (re)creation of her pieces together with local dancers and the development of workshop-formats that meet the needs of local audiences.
