BELGIAN PREMIERE

Step into the new room of Schippers&VanGucht. A space of five by seven meters, where video, music, vibrations and live performance come together to form a small meeting with twelve others. In this short experience of twentyfive minutes, it is about duckweed, rain, you who replace me, hardening, embracing, holding on - that that is important -, strangers, melting, eyes and a mirror.

EVERYONE invites you to contact. Sometimes you are lost. But after lost comes finding, like sun after rain. Let yourself be touched by the gaze of a stranger, a moment of recognition and the realization that you truly perceive each other.

EVERYONE arises from those small, coincidental encounters that give new meaning to your day.
“Those who are not gone, are seen.” In a time where many feel invisible, this installation emphasizes the importance of being seen. Every person longs for that look of recognition and connection.

About the company

Schippers&VanGucht is the name of the creative Dutch duo Jellie Schippers (director) and Myriam Van Gucht (scenographer). Since 2007, they have been making (youth) theatre performances together, such as Spinder, What happened while the sparrows danced the polka, The Annoying Bus, Warnet and Radman. The performances can always be seen in specially designed (mobile) locations that are placed in unexpected places. In this way the audience is pleasantly thrown off balance.
Schippers&VanGucht's theater experiences make it possible to capture a moment in time. They call for slowing down, standing still and reflection; to change your perspective and tilt your view.
