In the far distant,
in the coldest place in the world,
where it is almost always dark,
lives a collector of light.
Quietly, imperturbably
her own life.
Until a guide loses his way,
and with two tourists
gets lost looking for warmth.
But do they dare?
"Yes, come on!
Beware
for the treacherous ground,
unknown territory."

Dikke jassen (thick coats) is a funny and moving performance about questions like, "How do I see others and how do they see me?" About clumsily contact, or just anxiously running away from it. Because in the dark, we see things as we ourselves think they are. Until the situation is illuminated differently....

LUCA School of Arts and Krokusfestival are joining forces! This way, KROKUS wants to support students who are interested in making theatre for young audiences.

At different moments within the festival, you will be able to see the theatre students at work. We will organise a theatrical reading of texts written by the students, present a number of master's theses and the students will attend a workshop with Takeski Matsumoto, international creator at the festival.
