These were the eight members of the children's jury who strictly but fairly attended and judged 10 performances at Krokusfestival. On Thursday 6 March, the last day of the festival, they went into conclave and announced the Children's Award Krokus 2025.

Jury member Nena:

The children's jury of the Krokusfestival saw many beautiful performances this year. It was difficult to choose 1 as the winner of the Childrens Award Krokus, but after a tough debate with several rounds of voting we came to a decision.

We chose the performance that was a kaleidoscope of bodies, with multi-coloured lights and glow in the dark, soothing music and special Yin and Yang costumes, and a cool mirror on the ceiling in which we saw the dancers move at the same time.

Congratulations to Prototype status and Jasmine Morand with the performance Mirkids!

But, it was difficult to declare one performance as the winner. That is why jury member Darian adds:

We have created a second award this year: one for the best Belgian performance of Krokusfestival 2025. This goes to a performance that was so cool, beautiful, educational and funny. I personally was shocked at how well the creator can make robots and machines. Just finding all those separate elements is so difficult. My head is still full of questions.

The creator was so good at talking about dancing, moving, fake bones and brains. The fact that he is now making this as a choreographer is fantastic.

We want to sit close to Ugo Dehaes' table more often and move along with Moving Skin. Congratulations, Ugo!
