Lie down in a hammock. Soon the noise of everyday life will fade away and you will slowly sink into a completely different place. Put on the headphones and close your eyes. Spin to the rhythm of the music. Listen to the stories. Imagine the words.

The Mini Relaxerette is a charming rotating installation in response to our fast changing society and asks the visitor “what do you need to become yourself?

About the artist

Arjan Kruidhof is an autodidact multilateral artist who started his career as engineer at the National Theatre in The Hague and at the Noorderzon Performing Arts Festival in Groningen. He worked for many years as a sound/light engineer before gradually beginning to make sound and video designs.

All art installations of Arjan exists of old industrial machine’s or former set stages taken from scrap and redesigning them to something new. De Relaxerette concept tries to find an answer to this overwhelming world and raises the question: “what do you need to find your inner self?”
