BELGIAN PREMIERE
It all starts with a sound, transforms into rhythm, then into music. The dancers can’t wait to move to the music. The words, chained to each other, fly around and create different melodies, choreographies, images and moods. No one slips into a different role or becomes a character here.
Flying words is a joyful contemporary dance performance, composed and performed by two dancers and one musician, to be performed in a classroom, music room, aula of a school etc. The three artists use different word chains to develop a surreal flow. The words inspire the dance movements and music. At the end, they go through a playful, creative journey with each other and with the children, transforming the space into a magical landscape.
About the company
Ceren Oran & Moving Borders is created by Ceren Oran, Karolína Hejnová and a core collective of artists with the belief that contemporary dance can and should be accessible for everyone as an art form and as a practice. With this in mind, the company's creative work focuses on public space performances, dance for young audiences, durational performances and many other performance formats of audience encounters. The company and its artistic director Ceren Oran are based in Munich/Germany since 2015, and contain a broad international profile of dancers, musicians and stage designers.
De precieze aanwezigheid en speelse lichtheid van de dansers zijn adembenemend.
